Compatibility is based on many different levels of your diversified personality. No one component accurately represents your personality profile; however, together with compatibility evaluations like the zodiac, astrological, and MBTI® result type profiles, we are able to build upon a better understanding of your intrinsic self. Everyone has many parts to their character that makes them who they are.

For example: John is a brother, a lover, an employer, and a dad - one title for John would not be an accurate depiction of him.  Aligned Signs brings together components to help John better understand the internal workings, preferences, outlook, views, etc of himself. Equipped with this knowledge, he better understands the way he goes about making decisions and interactions with all the relationships that make up the multiple titles that he holds. In addition, he now has a new insight when connecting and building future relationships.

Why the Chinese Zodiac?

The Chinese Zodiac, known as Sheng Xiao, is considered a systematic plan of future action that provides a wealth of valuable information about Self, personality traits and life purpose in exciting and unique ways. It remains popular in several East Asian countries, like China, Korea, Vietnam, Japan and Taiwan. Many believe that this distinctive approach is a legitimate, solid method for measuring attuned partnerships. {#/pub/images/11675243_s.jpg}

When calculating one’s Zodiac, the elements and other properties that represent the Chinese Zodiac are necessary to take into account.

For example, the Zodiac is based on a 12-year cycle, with each year in that cycle related to an animal sign. These animal signs are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and pig, and your Zodiac is calculated according to the Chinese lunar calendar.

People under different animal signs have distinct characteristics. Some signs are a perfect match; others are compatible, but to a lesser degree. An understanding of one another’s personality composition gives each person the tools to establish a better, more open method of communication and awareness.

The animal year when you were born is called your Benming Nian (year of birth); the distinctive zodiacal way of calculating years based on the lunar calendar decides that once in every 12-year cycle people will meet their birth sign. Horoscopes were developed around animal signs to help define personality traits and destiny.

For example, 2013 is the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese zodiac. The Year of the Snake starts from February. 10, 2013 (the Lunar New Year) and lasts to January 30, 2014. Snakes are depicted as charming, gregarious, generous and smart. The year 1982 is the Year of the Dog, whose personalities include patience, diligence, kindness and faithfulness; the year 1992 is the Year of the Monkey, whose characteristics include fun, energetic and dynamic.

Why Western Astrology?

Western Astrology, on the other hand, is a practice that divides a year into 12 periods—during each period, the sun is in a constellation area. So, everyone has a corresponding astrological sign according to the period his/her{#/pub/images/signssmaller.jpg} birthday lies in. The 12 signs are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. It is believed that different signs of the zodiac present different characteristics and talents. Gemini’s, for example, born May 21 to June 21, are known for being expressive and quick-witted, outgoing, flirtatious, communicative and duality.

Aligned Signs encourages the use of these valuable personality tools, along with the Myers-Briggs® Type Indicator (MBTI®) assessment, to enhance your quality of life and find new and interesting people for adding more prosperous social interactions, friendships and relationships.
