Chinese Zodiac - Rooster

The Chinese Zodiac is an ancient mathematical system in which 12 different animals are used to represent a 12-year cycle. The underlying belief is that a person born in a particular year broadly has the characteristics of the animal symbolizing that year.

The Years of Rooster are 10th in this cycle and part of the second trine of animals. They are preceded by the Years of the Monkey and succeeded by the Years of the Dog.
