Water. It's one of the most important resources we have yet, we sometimes take it for granted. We are bombarded by new drinks that offer you the best hydration and replenishment but what we are really overlooking is just good ole plain water. Yes, water isn't as exciting as that blue sports drink but it is definitely the better and healthier alternative.


Water is not only crucial to our overall health but we forget that our bodies are also mostly made up of water. 2/3 of our body is comprised of water and our bodies use water to remove waste, lubricate joints, and maintain body temperature. Every fiber of our beings including our organs and tissues need water to work properly.


Besides helping our bodies function properly, water is also beneficial to our overall look. The more water we drink the healthier our skin looks. Drinking water helps removes toxins that can cause breakouts. It also replinshes skin tissues and increases our skins elasticity. The next time you see someone out with no make-up on but with beautiful, glowing skin you can bet that they are well hydrated. 


So where should we start if we aren't drinking enough water? The easiest thing is to just choose water over other beverages. It is recommended that we have 6 to 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day. Though it may seem like too much for some, just strive to drink as much water as you can. Take a reusable water bottle with you and remember to fill it up whenever you get a chance.
